Classics On The Quay returned to King Edward Quay on Saturday 11th April 2015 with an even bigger line up! Following the success of the previous event in August 2014 we had a lot to live up to and, judging by the 3,500 strong crowd it seems our visitors agreed with us!

What went on?

Carl FogartyColchester’s most exciting classic car and motorcycle show returned with over 100 incredible classic cars and motorcycles on display. Our special guest was former World Superbike Champion and King of the Jungle, Carl Fogarty. He was present at the event all day for interviews, autographs and photo opportunities.

He’s not the only big name we had visiting though. Other stars who made an appearance are:

  • James Ellison, British Superbike rider and former European Superstock Champion
  • Tommy Hill, Be Wiser Superbike team manager and former British Superbike Champion
  • Danny Buchan, British Superbike rider and current British Superstock 1000 Champion
  • Jesse Trayler, British Superstock 1000 rider
  • Kyle Wilks, British Superstock 1000 rider

Entertaining the crowds was the UK’s #1 freestyle motorcycle stunt rider, Lee Bowers. Lee returned to Colchester with a whole host of awards under his belt, and loads of brand new tricks and stunts to perform. Martin Day, the guy who wakes up Essex every morning on Heart FM Breakfast and keen motorcyclist, hosted the event alongside our very own Nick Morgan, director of MSS Performance.

And of course we had the usual live music, beer tent, BBQ, food and drink available all day.
